Winter Wonderland

I am just wrapping up what has become my favorite winter ritual. For the last few years I've spent the quietest week of the year on Martha's Vineyard when the population has dwindle to just the year-round folk and the schools are on winter break. Without fail there was a little bit of the white stuff (a few pics from my drive up last Friday are below), but the following days were mild enough for some long long walks through the abundant network of trails and on the beach. I love the beach in the winter, it is so amazing!

The Love Child Has Arrived!

My new and soon to be named niece arrived at 12:29 this morning just missing her Valentine's Day due date. Vaness & Zack (the proud mama, my sis, & papa) were doing well after 16 hours of painkiller-free labor and a water birth in their Evanston, IL home! The little bundle weighed in at just over 7lbs and measures 22 inches long. In the completely unbiased opinion of her parents she is quite a looker! Can't wait to go visit the new wonderous one and take some pics!

Mystic or Bust!

I hit the road with fellow NY photographers Jason Groupp, Jennifer Davis, Jordan Van Aken, Rob Munroe, John Schafer and Punam Bean for a model shoot in downtown Mystic (brrrrrr) and Walter Van Dusen's awesome Mystic 3 photo workshop.

These girls rock, I asked Rae to run up the dock and she kicks off her shoes! I'm embarrassed to say I can't even count the number of layers I had on. I'm still debating whether or not to post an incriminating photo of me drinking hot chocolate on our break.

JLo in the house! I was wondering why there were so many people hanging around the hotel, did they all know about the stunning bride getting ready upstairs? Turns out JLo was having her baby shower at the Gramercy Park Hotel where the girls were getting ready. Needless to say one of our diligent look outs spotted her and hubby Marc Anthony making their entrance. Gotta love New York!

La Bella Bride 2008
